Victims Assist/Victims of Crime Psychologist
How Much Does a Victim Assist Psychologist Cost?
When recovering from the impact of a violent crime, your priority should be your healing and safety. At Dante Psychology, I provide dedicated support for eligible Victim Assist Queensland clients with streamlined billing to minimise your financial stress.
Funded Sessions: If you have an approved application for financial assistance, Victim Assist QLD typically covers the costs of up to 12 initial counselling sessions for psychological injuries or adverse impacts caused by violence.
Additional Support: If your recovery requires further sessions, I can provide a comprehensive clinical report to Victim Assist QLD to request additional funding based on your ongoing clinical needs.
Streamlined Process: By providing your unique application number and approved recovery expense details, I help ensure the invoicing process is as straightforward as possible.
Transparent Billing: While Victim Assist covers the approved session costs, we will always discuss any potential gap fees transparently before your first appointment so there are no surprises.
How to Apply for Victim Assist QLD Counselling Funding
Navigating the financial assistance process can feel complex when you are trying to heal. If you have experienced a violent crime in Queensland, follow these steps to access funded psychological therapy:
Report the Incident: To be eligible, the incident generally needs to be reported to the Queensland Police or another relevant authority.
Consult Your GP: Book an appointment with your doctor to discuss your psychological symptoms and obtain a referral for psychological support.
Lodge Your Application: Submit your Application for Financial Assistance directly through the Victim Assist Queensland online portal. You will need to provide proof of identity and supporting documents.
Request Recovery Expenses: Once your application is registered and you receive an application number, you can submit a specific request for counselling recovery expenses.
Book Your Appointment: Contact Dante Psychology with your Victim Assist application number. We will confirm your funding details and schedule your initial assessment.
