Autism & ADHD
Many people navigate a world that wasn’t built for them. You or your child may encounter challenges with relationships and friendships, have great difficulty dealing with new or unfamiliar settings, or struggle with sensory overwhelm and burnout. You might grapple with low self-esteem at work or school, or find emotional regulation, anxiety, and focus particularly difficult to manage. It is an unfortunate reality that the weight of psychological trauma is also very commonly carried by individuals on the Autism Spectrum and/or with ADHD.
Who I Support
My practice is dedicated to supporting individuals across the entire lifespan. I have experience working with children and adolescents, as well as adults navigating late-in-life discovery.
I have a particular interest in supporting the internalised presentations of Autism and ADHD (also called “high masking autism”, “high functioning autism” or “female Autism/ADHD”). These presentations often “fly under the radar” because the person appears to be functioning well externally, while internally they are experiencing profound exhaustion, confusion, dysregulation, and a sense of being misunderstood. I aim to provide a space where you don’t have to perform, the mask can come off, and we can explore your challenges and who you really are.
Assessments & Diagnosis
I offer comprehensive assessments for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. I understand that waiting months for answers can be distressing; therefore, there is typically no wait time for these assessments. Diagnostic reports are generally completed within 24 hours of the final assessment appointment. Please see the Assessments page to learn more.
Location & Logistics
I offer both online and in-person psychology sessions, conveniently located for those in North Brisbane.
Please note: Psychologists cannot prescribe medication for ADHD. For access to certain programs (such as the NDIS), a psychiatrist or paediatrician may need to review the psychological assessment report to confirm the diagnosis.
How can therapy help?
Psychological therapy provides a safe, inclusive environment to explore the complexities of Autism, ADHD, and the way that your specific brain works. Rather than applying a “one size fits all” approach, or focusing solely on “symptoms,” we look at the whole person, and look to address the intersection of your neurotype and your mental health.
We focus on four key pillars of growth:
Self-Understanding: Improving self-esteem, self-compassion, and counteracting a lifetime of feeling “wrong” or inadequate.
Coping & Resilience: Developing practical tools to navigate overwhelming environments and life’s complexities.
Mental Health Support: Targeted treatment for co-occurring conditions like anxiety, depression, OCD, and trauma.
Authentic Living: Navigating the personal and professional world with confidence while honoring your authentic self.
How can psychological therapy help?

Autism
Psychological support aims to assist by helping individuals develop a deeper understanding of their strengths and challenges, cultivate lasting self-confidence, and improve their overall quality of life. By building greater self-awareness and self-compassion, therapy provides a dedicated space to learn practical, tailored techniques that help you navigate life's complexities and manage daily demands with more ease and authenticity.

ADHD
Therapy plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), addressing difficulties with attention, impulse control, and executive functioning. I work collaboratively with individuals with ADHD to develop strategies so that they can improve their strengths, overcome challenges, strengthen their mental health, and thrive in professional, and personal life.

Co-Occuring Mental Health
Many individuals with Autism and ADHD have to deal with co-occurring mental health struggles such as depression, trauma and anxiety. I offer psychological support to address these additional challenges in a way that is considerate of the unique challenges faced by neurodiverse individuals. We will construct an evidence based treatment plan to address your challenges in a way that best fits your specific situation.
